Archaeological finds show that both moose and deer were present in Norway in the Stone Age, and that they were sought after as a food resource. The population development of Norwegian deer was modest in both numbers and geographical distribution until the early 1970s.
New deer fence

The summer of 2024 was spent in the forest and fields to create a new deer fence with pasture and shelter for the animals. The first part of the job was done with a chainsaw to remove forest in the fence route. In places it was soft and boggy, but we got through the planned route and at the same...
